The short version
- Your name and email are always optional. The assessment works the same without them.
- We save your answers to improve the assessment. We don't sell them, and we don't use them for ads.
- No tracking cookies, no ad pixels, no analytics services.
- Your answers go into published research only if you check the research box. Even then, your name and email are never published.

Who we are
The Nurse Career Assessment is built and run by Slick Ideas LLC, a small company founded by a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. "We" on this page means Slick Ideas LLC.
What we collect

We don't ask for your employer, license number, address, phone number, or anything about your own health.
Why we collect it
- To show you your results.
- To improve the assessment. We look at combined answers to find questions that are confusing or don't measure what they should, and roles that show up too often or not enough.
- To see which posts bring people in, so we know where to share it next.
- For research, only if you say yes. See "Research" below.
Your email
If you leave your email, we use it for one thing: to give you free access when the full version launches and to say thank you. We don't add it to a marketing list, share it, or sell it. We keep emails in a separate list from answers wherever we can.
Research
At the start, there's a box that says it's OK to include your answers in published nursing research. It's unchecked unless you check it.
- If you check it, your answers may be included in combined results in a research paper or presentation. Names and emails are never published, and we never quote a comment in a way that could point to you.
- If you don't, your answers are used only to improve the assessment.
Any future formal research study will be reviewed by an ethics board (an IRB) first and will have its own consent page that explains it in full.
Who can see your information
- Us. Only the founder of Slick Ideas LLC has access to the saved answers.
- Google. Answers are saved to a private Google Sheet through Google Apps Script, so Google stores that data for us.
- AI tools. We sometimes use AI tools, such as Claude by Anthropic, to help analyze combined results. We don't use your answers to build ads or profiles.
- Future research partners, such as a university co-author or a statistician, may see answers from people who checked the research box, with names and emails removed.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers or employers.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use cookies, ad pixels, or analytics services. The site uses your browser's temporary session storage to remember which link you arrived from until you close the tab.
Like any website, a few technical services see basic connection information, such as your IP address, when your browser loads a page: our web host, and Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering on the home page. We don't collect or store your IP address with your answers.
Your downloaded results
When you download your results (as a file or copied text), that copy is saved on your device. We can't see or delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep your answers for up to 3 years from the day you submit them, then delete them. We'll delete them sooner if you ask.
Your choices
- Skip any optional field.
- Leave the research box unchecked.
- Ask us to see or delete your answers. Email grhodes70@gmail.com with the name or initials you used and roughly when you took it, and we'll find and delete your answers, usually within 30 days.
Who this is for
This assessment is meant for adults 18 and older: nurses, nursing students, and people thinking about nursing. If you're under 18, please don't submit your answers.
This isn't a medical or employment record
The assessment is a self-guidance career tool. It isn't medical, legal, or employment advice, and it isn't connected to any hospital, school, or employer.
Changes to this page
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
